Dubsado vs Honeybook – Which CRM is right for you?

Let’s first start this conversation by saying we truly want you to just pick a CRM that works for you! While we love bantering with each other about our CRMs at the end of the day it is what works with your style of business, your brain, and allows you to not be IN your business 24/7.

Dubsado and Honeybook are two of the biggest known names for photographers when it comes to CRMs.

They both do:

• Automations
• Workflows
• To Do / Tasks
• Time tracking
• Invoices
• Contracts
• Online Payment options (Stripe, Sqaure, Affirm, Klarna etc)
• Client Portals
• Scheduler
• Forms / Questionnaires
• Mobile app
• Mobile pay
  
  But which one is better? That question just depends on your needs.
  

Honeybook Integrations have leveled up in 2025

One thing about Honeybook is that they are coming for you -hard. They recently integrated with ShowIt, Pic-Time, Canva, and Flodesk.

These can be game changers because it allows you to just drag and drop, and have a seamless brand experience where everything looks and feels like you.

Plus Alex’s top feature is that she doesn’t need to use QuickBooks (Jamie does though) because Honeybook has it’s own accounting built into their platform that allows you to have your own
“bank”.

This let’s Alex track her spending and have her payments automatically go into accounts so she doesn’t have to do it manually.

Dubsado has re-branded and geared up for 2025

Dubsado is gearing up to launch Dubsado 3.0 with all new branding. They are tackling the items we have been begging for.

Like their mobile app, because taking care of clients on the go is a MUST in today’s world.

Jamie is holding out for their scheduler and conditional logic updates for workflows to make her on-boarding process that much smoother.

Workflows and Automations are a must as a business mom

We both will never stop talking about workflows and automations. While both platforms offer them the set up is slightly different.

The point though – you need workflows and automations.

Both Honeybook and Dubsado make it possible for us to be mom and be the business queens we love being.

Our favorite workflows are either the on-boarding ones that sends an auto responder so potential clients know we did in fact receive their inquiry, or during the process automation so that every client gets the high touch point experience.

We both use multiple workflows so being able to seamless start one to the next is a game changer.

Things we want improved on.. because we all have room for growth

• Dubsado – The scheduler is a little clunky, and hopefully will see that fixed by end of 2025
• Dubsado – Tracking, have to use Quickbooks
• Email marketing – wish there was a way it could be one subscription vs having multiple
• Conditional Logic – Would make workflows easier to flow so don’t have to “hack” them as much
